The Alentejo Azul project - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program for the Sea and Water Resources aims to promote, encourage and support the creation and development of innovative, technology-based and creative companies in the area of the sea and water resources in the Alentejo.

 This project consists of the creation and implementation of a structuring and integrated program for the creation and consolidation of technology-based and creative start-ups in the strategic sectors of the thematic domains defined in the RIS3 of Alentejo 2020, or in domains or sectors of activity that are associated with national aggregating strategies, of regional relevance, such as the “Knowledge Economy”, the “Creative Economy”, the “Green Economy” or the “Blue Economy”.

 It particularly aims to stimulate action on the theme of the sea and water resources, materializing in a program for creating new companies and supporting business innovation in the sector, with integrated actions and promoted by a strong partnership, aiming to establish itself as an unavoidable national reference, with international visibility, in the blue economy.

 This initiative aims to boost entrepreneurship aimed at activities and sectors with strong growth dynamics and intensive technology, knowledge and creativity, in particular by supporting start-ups and spin-offs, as privileged vehicles for the incorporation of technology and knowledge into the regional economic fabric.

 Alentejo Azul is promoted by ADRAL and Sines Tecnopolo, with co-financing by the European Regional Development Fund under the ALENTEJO 2020 program.
