Main Building

Sines Tecnopolo has its own facilities, with spaces dedicated to standard incubation, training, meeting rooms, co-working, laboratories and a conference room. Sines Tecnopolo’s technological compound is composed by its main building, the multipurpose building, the laboratories and the Sea and Energy Academy building.

The main building was designed and built specifically for this activities, on the other hand, the multipurpose building is a recuperated old building named Quinta da Lameira, were all the compound belongs to. All of Sines Tecnopolo’s facilities are equipped with air conditioner and security is assured by a permanent surveillance system.

In the main building we have four 50 m2 training rooms, located in the 1st floor, tree of which are equipped with 19 chairs and 9 tables, projector, flipchart, white board, computers and two cabinets, and one of them is equipped with 16 computers, being the room used for computer training. Sines Tecnopolo provides access to the collaborative web platform Moodle, which allows a continuous contact between clients, associates, mentors or consultants of the team and the support materials.

The main building has elevator and five bathrooms, one of which is prepared and equipped for people with reduced mobility.

Multipurpose Building

The multi-purpose building consists of two floors, supported by an elevator and two bathrooms, one of which is equipped for the use of people with reduced mobility. The entire building has excellent natural light. The ground floor consists of a reception hall, an auditorium, two rooms for physical incubation with 40.95 m2, and sanitary equipment. The auditorium has an area of 77.09 m2 and is equipped with 60 chairs, a video projector, a pulpit and a support desk.

Laboratories

Designed for workshop or science activities, the structures of the laboratories provide for the movement of machinery and equipment and the installation of benches and larger work areas. Its users also have toilets and independent showers. (Include pre-installation of three-phase network).

Sea and Energy Academy

Finally, Sines Tecnopolo has a multipurpose space, the Academia do Mar e Energias, with 842.96 m2, designed to respond to training, research and event organization needs. Equipped with 32 tables, 220 chairs, sound system and lights, 2.5m x 4m stage, laboratory equipment and machinery to support research in the area of Renewable Energies, two toilets and changing rooms and 50 screens that allow great adaptability of the morphology from space to the intended activity. With these characteristics, this space is prepared to respond to different activities on the part of the business fabric and entities of the Sines Ecosystem.

Apply for incubation

In order to be eligible to apply for incubation in Sines Tecnopolo, you have to be either an entrepreneur with an innovative business project, a company that wants to be located in Sines or a company already in the region but looking to start new business areas.

The application process for Sines Tecnopolo’s facilities is made through the “Summary Proposal” form that has to be filled and sent to mic@sinestecnopolo.org, and accompanied by the documents described below.

After receiving the “Summary Proposal” form, Sines Tecnopolo’s team will analyze the application and may invite the entrepreneur for an interview or ask for external expert advice.
