ESPOBAN LAUNCHES CALL FOR TRAINING ENTREPRENEURS AND INVESTORS

The first call for the ESPOBAN Project - Business Angels Network Spain - Portugal started on 07/01/2018, financed by INTERREG VA - Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) for the training of entrepreneurs and investors.

Sines Tecnopolo is a partner entity of the association promoting the cross-border project that aims to facilitate the access of companies and entrepreneurs in the Algarve, Alentejo and Andalusia regions to private investment. With the launch of this call, ESPOBAN enters a new phase of implementation.

OBJECTIVE

After formalizing the creation of the Portugal-Spain Transfrontier Business Angels network (Alentejo/Algarve/Andalusia) on 16 February 2018 and carrying out a characterization study on the current state of entrepreneurship in southern Portugal and Spain, ESPOBAN intends to now promote the training of entrepreneurs and investors for this Iberian network.

The purpose of this call is to select entrepreneurs and investors from the Alentejo region interested in participating in a training, consultancy and business plan preparation program for entrepreneurial projects and later in an ESPOBAN Project Investment Forum, which aims to facilitate through Business Angels, the inflow of capital into the companies that are part of the project.

FOR WHOM?

The training program includes two main recipients:

- Entrepreneurs - entrepreneurs who are now launching their businesses and managers who lead businesses with an established presence in the market and operating in the Alentejo. New businesses are, as a rule, projects with some risk and level of uncertainty, but with good value propositions.  

​

- Business Angels – private investment agents that inject capital directly into businesses, providing know-how and capital – fundamental factors for the growth of seed business projects – with the expectation of obtaining significant profits with a subsequent sale of their participation.

ESPOBAN hopes, with this training process, to contribute to business growth within the scope of cooperation, promoting win-win relationships between business angels and entrepreneurs.
