The main objective of the Project is to promote support for entrepreneurship, so that a sustainable development model can be achieved in the Maritime Economy Sector, based on increased cooperation and innovation in the sector, resulting from the applicability of ICT in production processes, making them operationally more efficient and increasing their sustainability, and based on the goals of the National Strategy for the Sea and the regional/national strategies for smart specialization/RIS3.
It began in September 2017 and will end in August 2019.
Co-financed by the COMPETE 2020 Program under the Collective Action Support System – Promotion of Entrepreneurship, involving an eligible investment of 703 thousand euros, which resulted in an ERDF incentive of 598 thousand euros.
Driven by Inova-Ria, together with the Ocean Forum, ACIFF, NERLEI, and SINES TECNOPOLO.
Objectives:
- To facilitate and support the emergence of new companies focused on medium-high knowledge and/or technology activities, aligned with the real and specific needs of a business community established in the maritime economy
- To prepare entrepreneurs for the challenges of starting a new activity and launching it on the market;
- To promote technology-based entrepreneurship in the maritime economy, its growth and international affirmation.
